Diamond stars shine bright in the inky blackness. Ghostly clouds scud across the sky. The moon shines bright, high in the sky, casting silvery light over the land. Dewy long grass and night time shadows – cover for foraging nocturnals, constantly on edge and wary, as they creep about their task. The Barn Owl flits silently through the darkness, turning her head from side to side. She hears the tiny mousey footfall then stoops… and lifts her prize. Tonight she feeds… and a mouse fails to make another day.
